Fall Spirits!

We're not sure about you but we LOVE the fall season. Fluffy sweaters, new boots, brisk temperatures and of course hot toddy's. There are so many things about this season to love and enjoy.  Our latest design was inspired by the thought of chilly nights and gathering with friends. We thought about what it feels like to get together in a cozy bar mid October. Dark and woodsy, nothing feels better than a having a smooth cocktail to warm the soul. With so many man friends having milestone birthdays recently, we needed the perfect invite to celebrate him!

So what's next after you've purchased these dapper 20's supper club styled invitations? Time to plan the party of course!  In no particular order, here are some of our favorite fall spirits we like mixed into outstanding cocktails.

If you've never been to Employees Only in Manhattan's West Village...GO! It's far and away one of the best cocktail experiences you'll ever have. Here is a recipe published by Food & Wine Magazine from Employees Only.

Manhattan Cocktail Contributed by Cocktails 2006
Servings: Makes 8 drinks

Employees Only, New York City
This Manhattan reflects the recipe in America's first cocktail book, 1862's The Bon Vivant's Companion, by Jerry Thomas. It calls for more vermouth than rye—the opposite of the modern Manhattan.

Ice
12oz sweet Vermouth
8oz rye
2oz Grand Marnier
16 dashes of Angostura bitters
8 orange or lemon twists

Fill a pitcher two-thirds full with ice. Add the vermouth, rye, Grand Marnier and bitters and stir for 30 seconds to chill. Strain into 8 chilled martini glasses; top each with a twist.
